Delft Technical University - Open Studio
The ID students at Delft Technical University have been busy this year and their open studio session today showed some really inspiring projects. There were a number of projects intended to help the elderly including a canary that helps monitor your behaviour and manages your contacts on a daily basis. Other topic of interest was how to manage stress with projects such as Squeeze which is meant to help you concentrate on being calm…
…and others focused more on fun. Alie Rose (not pictured due to embarrassing poses) was lucky enough to play on some of the games designed and prototyped by the 1st and 2nd year Master’s students.
Floor Borgonjen who is studying for her Msc. Design for Interaction designed ‘Forelorn’s Fortress’ which forces you to work with a partner to navigate your way through a multi-level 3d virtual maze in order to capture the man haunting the fortress. Check out Forelorn’s Fortress on youtube. Overhead video tracking and speakers in the pirate hats inform you of which room you are in…listen for the footsteps and track him down!
